Wax Melts FAQ's

A tea light wax tart burner or wax melter is a device that uses the heat from a tea light candle to melt wax tarts or melts, releasing their fragrance into the air. It usually consists of a heat-resistant dish for the wax and a space underneath for the tea light.

Keeping your wax melt burner clean ensures a strong, long-lasting fragrance and prevents old scents from mixing with new ones. Follow these simple steps to clean your electric or tea light wax melt burner efficiently:

Cool the Burner – Always wait for the wax to fully cool and harden before cleaning.

Remove the Wax – If the wax is solid, gently press on one edge to pop it out. Alternatively, turn on the electric wax melt burner for a few seconds to loosen the wax, then wipe it out with a tissue.

Wipe the Dish – Use a warm, damp cloth or a wax residue remover to clean any leftover wax or fragrance oils.

Deep Clean (If Needed) – For stubborn residue, use a little warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge to wipe the dish clean. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the burner.

Dry Thoroughly – Ensure the burner is completely dry before adding new wax melts to maintain maximum scent throw and performance.

Regular cleaning keeps your wax melt warmer working efficiently, preventing old wax buildup and allowing you to enjoy strong, clean home fragrance every time!

Wax melts can be safe for pets if they are made from natural, non-toxic ingredients. We would alwys melt wax melts in a room where pets can leave the room should they not like the scent. Like humans pets have different allergies and so we would always recommend you check with a Vet prior to melting. Always ensure your pets cannot reach the wax warmer and choose pet-safe fragrances.

While you can reheat wax melts, their fragrance will diminish over time. Once the scent is no longer noticeable, it's best to replace the wax melt with a new one.

To remove the wax tart from a tealight burner, let the wax cool and harden. Then, gently press on the edge of the wax, and it should pop out. Alternatively, you can place the burner in the freezer for a few minutes, making it easier to remove the wax.
